Hello Blogger people! Let me start with the basics:
My name is Christina. I am in Middle School and taught at home. Yep, so get over it. I have brown hair, and brown eyes.
Okay, I am a COMPLETE. NERD. And if you don't wanna hear me ramble on about books, DON'T LET THE DOOR HIT YOU ON THE BOOTY ON THE WAY OUT. Books are my passion and true love. If I'm gonna be forever alone; instead of a crazy Cat lady, CRAZY BOOK LADY! I am on I high reading level for a Middle Schooler. My favorite books include:
Divergent- I felt left out of all the hype books. aka Divergent, Matched ect. ect. So, for Christmas-barely even knowing what the books were about- I asked for them. I even had to go on Goodreads.com to see what it was about before I started to read it. And people--
I read it in under a week. On page seventy or so, I was like "Yup, this book has officially changed my life" Because before that I had to teach myself to know that a single book or book series was going to change my life without it being un expected. But now that I think about it, every book/book series has changed my life. And, it's also better when it's un expected. Ha;
Any way, the book was fast paced, and I loved it. And what character did I love the most, you ask?
CHRISTINA OF COURSE! :D And the whole time I was like "Don't die, don't die, don't die..." when I was reading about her. Especially when she had to hang over the chasm! After I finished it, I went straight into Insurgent the next morning, which I also got for Christmas. I stayed up until one AM to finish the first one, by the way XD
And when Christina didn't show up right away I was like "I'm dead... I'm dead I'm dead I'm dead..."
But when she showed up:
"DRINKS ALL AROUND, HALALUHA!"
And in the next War when she stays with Edward was it...?
"I'M GONNA DIE I'M DONNA DIE I'M GONNA DIE"
Any way, I kind of wish I found out about the movie after I got crazy obsessed instead of thirty pages into the first book. I was like "Oh, cool!" BUT NOW I'M ANGRY CUZ I HAVE TO WAIT!!!!
The Hunger Games:
Thank You cousin Harrison! Okay, my cousin Harrison started to read the books. And that was when all the hype started and the movie and all that. I eventually asked my Mom if I could read the books. But she said no because she didn't like the "concept" Pff. What does she know?! Any way, she thankfully came around. So, we went to Barnes & Nobels. I read it in maybe a week or two, and loved it! I saw the movie with my Mom, and brother Alec, the next day. BEST NIGHT OF MY LIFE. It was the beginning of April. I read Catching Fire maybe a month later, and got in a FREAKING FUNK when I finished Mockingjay at 1 AM. I even went downstairs and got a bowl of Cocoa Puffs because I needed some sugar to make me feel better. And I put it on my bookshelf, and closed the door to my room like Chandler did in Friends when Mr. Heckles died. *Sigh*
*Spoiler Alert*
I TRIED NOT TO CRY WHEN PRIMM DIED!!!! "Why kill Finncik?!" "Nooo why does Finnick die?!"
GEEZ PEOPLE ENOGUH WITH FINNCIK WHY DON'T YOU CARE ABOUT THE DEATH OF A SWEET LITTLE TWELVE YEAR OLD?! AM I THE ONLY ONE WHO CARES MORE ABOUT PRIMM DYING?! I don't know why, but at some point I thought Effie died. I was like "what?! no Effie!" But when she visits Katniss I was like "Huh?!! What? How? Whe- ummmm great!"
So, now I guess, CATCHING FIRE COUNTDOWN BABY!!!!!!
Pretty Little Liars!!!!!!-
Hello class, and welcome to History. Today we will be learning about the book series/TV show/fandom/franchise that changed my life. Okay, here we go:
I was nine years old. And yes, nine. I saw the TV preview on ABC Family and was like "Mom I wanna see that!"
So, I watched the first episode while doing Math homework with my Mom.
Mom: "Okay, nine times nine equals-" *Ezra and Aria kissing* Me:" Ooohhh bonus!" XD
I barely paid attention though. But now that I've watched the episode again a billion times I'm glad I had- and still do when it comes to certain things- the attention span of a squirrel. (Drake & Josh quote!!!). Seriously:
Pot, lesbian kisses, and dead bodies. A nine year old does NOT NEED TO SEE THAT. I watched a little bit of the second episode the week after, but eventually zoned out. But, in August,
everything changed. The family was on vacation. Me and my cousin Preston were trying to sort out a board game. The-horrifying for a still nine year old- was coming on. My Mom informed me so me and Preston put it on. I barely knew their names. ("Uh wait. I think someone called her Hannah!").
And when "Hannah" got hit by that frickin car...
CHAOS. We ran around the condo screaming "SHE GOT HIT BY A CAR SHE GOT HIT BY CAR!" We even woke Mom up who was trying to fall asleep on the couch. And that ladies and gentleman, GOT ME HOOKED. I think I paid most attention to the marathon before the premiere five months later.
Two weeks after vacation, I got into the books, Still nine years old by the way. I read two chapters of the first book online, and then made my Dad take me to Target to get the book. The book was great! I even remember that America's Next Top Model was on when I finished it, haha. And then, Flawless to Perfect to Unbelievable and so on. I didn't expect them to reveal A in just the fourth one. We were on vacation AGAIN and it was January. My Dad got me Wicked at the store, too. But at Wanted- even after my Aunt got me Twisted and Ruthless for Christmas- I declared I wouldn't be reading them anymore. I thought "What is there more to tell?! The main secret-to me- is out). They were on my bookshelf and I put them in the Attic cuz they were MOCKING ME IN WAYS YOU WILL NEVER UNDERSTAND. But don't get me wrong. I was still gonna watch the show. I don't think it was on at that time. But, maybe two months later, I had no willpower. HELLO, TWISTED AND RUTHLES! So lets just say it was... a un expected break. I read those, got Stunning at the store, and got Burned two days after it came out. SO NOW, CRUSHED IS COMING OUT ON TUESDAY OMG!!! And for people who keep saying that there's to many books, I NEVER WANT THIS SERIES TO END!!! And speaking of Ali's Lies, and Little Secrets, I got Ali's Lies at the library and read it in two days. I also got it at Target a couple of weeks later cuz I couldn't stand it not being on my bookshelf. Hey, IT'S A KEEPER!! So, lets just say its a little collectors item for now haha. I also read Little Secrets maybe two months ago. Read that in four days. So now, PLL SHOW IS COMING BACK ON JUNE 12TH AND CRUHSED ON TUESDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! *SCREAMS* I would post my theory, but I'm too tired to do that tonight. *yawns*
Well, that's me- part of me. Soooooooo
BYE!!!! :D NERD!!!!!!!!
